Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms apply to every order placed with Carbonography. Please read them before you order — in particular sections 5 and 9, which explain proofs and why made-to-order prints cannot be returned once approved.

1. About us

This website is run by CitiIT Limited, trading as Carbonography (“we”, “us”, “our”). Registered in England and Wales, company number 15811174. Registered office: C/O Sg Accounting, 1 Cedar Office Park, Cobham Road, Wimborne, BH21 7SB, United Kingdom.

Email: david@dpaul.studio · VAT number: GB 473 5892 49

2. Our service

We create a new digital image of your car or motorcycle based on the photos you send us, showing it in as-new condition from the angle and in the setting you choose. We then print it and send it to you with a frame.

Each image is a newly made artwork, produced with digital design tools including AI image generation. It is an artistic recreation, not a photograph of your actual vehicle. We work hard to match the make, model, year, colour and key details, but small differences from the real vehicle — for example in trim, badging, wheels or reflections — are part of the process. That is why we always send you a proof to approve first (see section 5).

Colours on screen can look different from colours on paper. Printed colours may vary slightly from your proof depending on your screen settings.

3. Ordering

When you send us an order through our website you are asking us to create a proof. This is not yet a binding order. The contract between you and us starts when you have approved your proof, paid, and we have confirmed your order by email.

We may decline any order — for example if the photos are not suitable, the request is unlawful or offensive, or we cannot deliver to your address. If we decline after you have paid, we will refund you in full.

You must be 18 or over to place an order.

4. Your photos

By sending us photos, you confirm that you took them or have permission to use them, and that they do not break anyone else’s rights or the law.

You give us permission to use your photos and vehicle details only to create, produce and deliver your order, and to deal with any questions about it. We don’t use them for anything else unless you separately agree (see section 12).

Please avoid sending photos where people can be clearly identified. We do not include people from your photos in the finished artwork.

5. Proofs and changes

We will email you a digital proof, usually within 2 working days of receiving your order. Your order includes up to 2 rounds of changes to the proof. Further changes, or a completely different angle or setting, may cost extra — we will always tell you the price before doing the work.

Please check your proof carefully, including the vehicle details, registration plate and any wording. Once you approve the proof we will print exactly what you approved. Low-resolution proofs may be watermarked; the final print will not be.

6. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT. The price includes the print, the frame and delivery to a UK mainland address unless we say otherwise.

Payment is taken securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Payment is due when you approve your proof. If we have made an obvious pricing error, we will contact you before going ahead.

7. Production and delivery

We print framed prints at A3, A2, A1 or 70 × 100 cm on museum-quality matte paper, and canvas at the size you choose. We aim to dispatch within 5 working days of your approval and payment. Your print and frame may be sent directly from our print and frame suppliers and can arrive in separate parcels on different days.

We currently deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery times given are estimates. If your order has not arrived within 30 days of dispatch, let us know and we will replace it or refund you.

The items become yours, and your responsibility, once they are delivered to the address you gave us.

8. Your frame

Framed prints arrive already fitted in their frame, with a shatterproof plexiglass front and hanging fixings attached. Framed canvas arrives stretched and set in its frame, ready to hang. Larger frames are for wall-mounting only.

Remove any protective film from the front before hanging. Wall fixings (screws and plugs) are not included. Please use fixings suitable for your wall and the weight of the frame. We are not responsible for damage caused by unsuitable fixings or incorrect hanging.

9. Cancelling an order

You can cancel at any time before you approve your proof, free of charge, by emailing us. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full within 14 days.

Your print is made to your personal specification. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, the normal 14-day right to cancel does not apply to personalised goods. This means that once you have approved your proof, you cannot cancel or return your order because you have changed your mind. This does not affect your rights if the item is damaged or faulty (section 10).

10. Damaged or faulty items

Please check your print and frame as soon as they arrive. If anything is damaged, faulty, or not what you approved, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging. We will replace it or, if that isn’t possible, refund you. We may ask you to return the damaged item; if so we will pay the return postage.

Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. For information about your rights, contact Citizens Advice.

11. Copyright and trade marks

We own the copyright in the artwork we create. When you have paid, you may keep, display and enjoy your print and the digital proof for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please ask us first if you want to use the image commercially — for example to sell it or use it in advertising.

Vehicle names, badges and logos belong to their manufacturers. Carbonography is not connected with, sponsored or endorsed by any vehicle manufacturer. We show vehicles and their badging only to depict the customer’s own vehicle.

We will only show your finished artwork in our gallery, on our website or on social media if you tick the box to give us permission when you order. We will hide or change the registration plate if you ask. You can withdraw permission at any time by emailing us, and we will remove it from our website and future posts.

13. Our liability

If we don’t meet these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our failure or negligence. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, or for business losses — our products are for personal use only.

We do not limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid for your order.

We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as courier or supplier disruption. If this happens we will let you know and do what we can to reduce the delay.

14. Complaints

If you are unhappy with anything, please email david@dpaul.studio with your order reference. We aim to reply within 2 working days and sort things out quickly.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones shown on this page when you placed it.
